What Happens After the Submission of Your Proposal?
Have you ever wondered what happens to your proposal between the time of submission through the time of renewed communications with the contract specialist/ contracting officer? Who are the people that “touch” your proposal and what are the things that they are looking for? Well in the world of “governese”, that phase is considered “The Evaluation Phase”. It is the fourth of six total phases within the government contracting life cycle. It is one of only two phases of the contract life cycle that you don’t get to participate in, as such, its imperative that you prepare your proposal to “stand on its own”. He consults, coaches, trains, and mentors small businesses and entrepreneurs on taking their ideas, dreams, and business pursuits to the next level. Mr Smiley brings his experiences within the federal sector at the Department of Defense, NASA, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), his experiences in private industry at the Amoco Corporation, and the Smiley Group, LLC., as well as his time and experiences as an educator and entrepreneur.
